Cait는 자연에서 발견되는 질감

-침식된 돌, 대리석, 숯, 나무껍질 등-에서 영감을 받아 작업을 합니다.

유약의 사용을 하지 않은 작품들이 많은데,

이는 흙으로 표현한 질감들의 대비를 더욱 돋보이게 하기 위한 장치입니다.

디자인과 패션을 토대로 디자인을 구상하고

손으로 직접 하나하나 만든 그의 작품은 기능적일 뿐만 아니라,

옷감을 조각한 듯한 느낌도 받을 수 있습니다.

Cait Reas creates ceramic objects and design goods that are inspired

by elements and textures found in nature: eroded stone, marble,

charcoal, and bark.

Many works are unglazed to highlight the contrast of the texture

surfaces made of the clay.

The hand-built pieces are not only sculptural, as they are design-

and fashion-based, but also functional.
